Just to read the follwing letters:
No.1
Dear Sir,
Further to my telephone conversation with Robert from Brussels, I would like to convey my protest concerning the damage charge of Euro756.10 for a slight scratch on the back right hand side of the rented car Mercedes XWE 393, which we rented from 29.10.07 till 3.11.07.
We returned the car duly in Bruges and left the key in the drop- off box so we were unable to inform the local attendant .
I request you look into the matter and reconsider this slight damage reasonably and fairly. This scratch was not caused by us it probably happened in a public parking area, while parked.
Attached pls find pictures of the above mentioned scratch as well as a copy of the charges.
I would like to mention that we are long standing customers and frequently use the services of Europcar, Up till now we have always been very pleased with your service, I even commented that The Bruges agent Christoph was very efficient and professional when we picked up the car.
I am confident you will look into the matter to a satisfactory conclusion
Regards
S.Tadmor Israel.

Dear Shamay Tadmor,
Thank you for your reply, and I apologize again for any inconvenience.
Please note that Europcar Belgium has assured us that the vehicle damage
cost is actually "superior" to the deductible amount you have been
billed. However, as this is considered "rentable damage", the car has
been put back out in rent and not yet repaired.
Any damage, regardless of how "minor", does depreciate the value of the
vehicle once it becomes time to sell it back to the manufacturer.
Unfortunately, Europcar says they cannot send a formal assessment cost
of the damage until the car is back off rent in their shop.

We will however check with them periodically, and send you a statement
as soon as it becomes available.
In the meantime, please let us know if you have any questions.
