Who : Hotels.com

What : Lost my Booking, Reliability, Information, Refund Policy, Change booking policy, Staff, Honor the voucher details

I made a reservation through hotels.com. My sales representatives drove eight hours to get to their destination. Once they tried to check into their room the employee at the front desk was rude and turned them down, stating "the credit card used to pay does not match the reservation name". Now I'm a Tradeshow Coordinator for my company and I book rooms all the time, foresing this problem I asked the customer rep. "are you sure my rep is not going to have a problem checkin in, beacause although his name is on the reservation he did not pay for it, my company is going to pay for it". Sure enough he stated "sir this is my job and I know what I'm doing, I've never had a problem in the past". Well guess what happened, they arrived at the hotel and could not check in. I contacted hotels.com around midnight to see if I can rectify the situation, all they did was contact the hotel and basically my sales rep stiil could not check in. I've asked for a refund and called their corporate number which is (214) 361-7311. They've charged my company the cancellation fee when it was clearly a probelm they could not solve. On top of that when i was speaking to the rep from Hotesl.com they didn't even offer to change hotels since my sales rep's could not get into that particular one. I'm outraged that a company who prides themselves on customer service and low rates would even have the audacity to do something like this. For those of you reading this comment, it's better to call the hotel yourself and get a cheaper rate. Stop feeding the corporate beast by conducting business with companys such as hotels.com. I've notified my network of business associates and they've stopped doing business with hotels.com I highly suggest you do the same.
