Just booked Carcassonne to Shannon with a French Visa (debit) card - Ryanair rejects this as a debit card and only allows me to process as a Credit card = €3 p pax per sector vs €1. They tell me on the phone that a French debit card will go through - yet the system is programmed to reject it. I have heard of many others being charged the full credit card fee when using a debit card - no wonder Ryanair is targeting 20% of revenues coming from ancillary services. Whatever next - a membership fee to visit the website? I know it's cheap, I just don't like being misled.
