BMI lost luggage

I TRAVELLED TO DUBLIN AFTER MISSING A FLIGHT DUE TO BAD CONNECTIONS THE NIGHT BEFORE. I LEFT MY SUITCASE WITH THE AIRLINE OVERNIGHT AS THEY WOULD HAVE DIFFICULTY "RETRIEVING" IT. ON CHECKING IN THE NEXT MORNING (7AM) I INFORMED THEM OF MY LUGGAGE WITH THEM AND WAS PROUDLY TOLD THAT THE BARCODE ON MY TICKET STUB WOULD AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATE IT AND SEND IT ON MY FLIGHT.
LO AND BEHOLD ARRIVING IN DUBLIN 1 HOUR LATER NO SUITCASE !
CONFIDENT THAT THE LUGGAGE WOULD FOLLOW ON 1 OF THE MULTITUDE OF FLIGHTS THAT THEY OPERATE TO DUBLIN, I INFORMED THE GROUND AGENT WHO ASSURED ME THAT IT WOULD.
8 HOURS AND GOD KNOWS HOW MANY FLIGHTS LATER, NO LUGGAGE.
THE BAGGAGE REPORT ASSISTANT TRIES TO ASSURE ME THE BAG "MIGHT BE DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING DAY EVEN THOUGH SHE HAS NO IDEA WHERE IT IS !
SHE TELLS ME IT TAKES 1.5 HOURS TO SORT LUGGAGE ON THE FLIGHT SHE SUSPECTS IT WILL COME ON AT 7PM
I CAN CALL BACK. AT 9PM BUT THE OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED AT 8PM !!??
THE COURIER COMPANY WILL DELIVER BUT MAYBE THE NEXT DAY ??
IF I WISH TO COMPLAIN I CAN, TO A COMPLAINTS NUMBER WHICH SHE GIVES ME BUT WHICH CLOSES 4 HOURS BEFORE SHE DOES (AT 4PM ??!!)
