EasyJet is a zoo class airline

We flew from Berlin Schonefeld to Liverpool with this zoo class airline, on 30-8-06 and after our experience we will never ever fly with Easyjet again. The check in was chaos. For the 15:05 flight some desks were checking in baggage at 12:40 while others were turning people (including us) away telling us that check in was strictly at 13:05. The confusion was awful, the place was packed solid, with people travelling to several different destinations. Boarding was also an ordeal. The gate opened at 14:00. but there was no announcement that the flight would be delayed 30 minutes. There were few seats at the gate and as a result elderly people were standing for well over an hour in very cramped conditions, with no opportunity to purchace any refreshments. There were also no toilet facilities. As I have heart disease this situation was not at all appreciated. The cabin crew were to say the least rude. We sat in forward bulkhead seats, and my wife's handbag was protuding a little from under the seat, a cabin crew member kicked it with some force, with a look of contempt at my wife. There was a wasp in the cabin which a crew member would not dispose of preferring someone to be stung because she did not like killing things. I realise that others have had far worse experiences than this, but for us it was bad. We will in future pay the extra to fly with a carrier that does not treat people like animals.
